[Dragon Warriors] Future Books

The demos went ok. I had nicely printed character sheets (set up one in PowerPoint).

Unfortunately, I hit a snag. I read through the adventure several times before the con and missed a few fine points. We worked it out in the end.

I will tell you what, it is very hard for five rank 1 characters to take on a rank 7 (as is in the book in the module).

Is this the same module now on the Magnum Opus site?

Hey All. I just got word that its ok for me to show this one off. It's the cover for the forthcoming "Friends or Foes":

(C)2008 Magnum Opus Press and Jon Hodgson.

Hope you like it! I pretty much see this installment of our heroes' story as coming after the Bestiary cover. Our knightly friend in particular didn't fare well against the dragon, and the female knight shown here in some way intervened. Perhaps she was after the reward placed on the heads of our conspicuously-outside-the-bounds-of-the-feudal-system adventurers. Our barbarian chum is now trying to negotiate his release whilst the mystic and sorcery are resting up in the spital house trying got get over their meeting with the dragon! Perhaps our party and this new knight have more in common than she currently realises? Is our barbarian the best person to be trying to convince her of that? I think probably not!

Meanwhile the locals earn their living as best they can from these passing upwardly mobile heroes. Or perhaps our urchin friend is the lady knight's side kick?

But perhaps you have a better story?

Details of the book as they stand: 64pp, out December, full contents to follow--check the MOP website next week for details.

:)

Description good! But pic is just red x for me. :( ( which is probably because, as I just discovered, Deviant Art is a blocked site at work........grrrr).

Its not on DA. That'll be imageshack playing up or your work blocking it. Try this one:

NB:My account was made inactive by me changing my email address and password, so I had to make this new one to reply. It is me, honest! ;)

Jon, I have to say - I love this. Great work - and good backstory too.

(in a lot of my games, it often seems to be the worst qualified character who winds up handling the tricky negotiations)

So when is this going up?

Yes I am annoying.....I'm aware of this.....Its a character flaw I'm working on...be patient......;)

Friends or Foes has been scheduled for January 2010. More details and pre-ordering are avalable here: http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/home/detail.php?qsID=1756

*Dissolves into a pitiful pile of geekgasms*

Magnum Opus has also announced--though not yet got a webpage for--'In From The Cold', a collection of Dave Morris's classic articles and adventures originally written for White Dwarf in the early 1980s, updated and retooled to bring them into the Dragon Warriors fold. This doesn't include the adventure 'A Box of Old Bones', for which we have other plans. All new art and maps, of course, and another awesome Jon Hodgson cover.

Probably a March release.

YAY! Great news! I'm happy to hear that. I'm just a newbie... DW wasn't released in Italy in 80s and at that time I began to play RPG with D&D. But I just bought the corebook, bestiary and Sleeping Gods... can't wait to read what I lost in 80s!
