Dorastar

Is this AH supplement going to be re-released by Mongoose, as it was there in the 2nd age. Really regret getting rid of that one.

Does any one in the States have one for sale?

Honestly, Ebay sucks! I always find something I want - get ripped off in shipping - and never know when the they will send it...

Been there - done that, too many times...

Thanks anyway.

Once I bought magic the gathering cards (Bird of Paradise and one Mox) for $200.00 and was sent a photo copy. Strangely, the address came back unknown...

I've had pretty good luck snagging old Chaosium and Avalon Hill stuff off of Ebay myself. Sorry to hear about the $200 worth of Magic Cards you didn't get quacking_duck.

Yeah, it happens, sone people seem to avoid the troubles. Ebay reimbursed me $190.00 of it. Had to go through a lot of crap with that too... They were good about it, though.

that was the last time I used Ebay..

If you can get hold of The Book of Drastic Resolutions (Chaos) then that makes the Doratoran Trilogy complete (Dorastor, Lords of Terror and BoDR:Chaos).

Imagine a combination of Dorastor and Lords of terror but 100% playable and you'll get an idea of how good BoDR:Chaos is.

We spent many a happy hour tramping through Dorastor and the PCs spent many an unhappy hour running away from things, hiding from things or killing things.

Well, the land of Dorastor was there in the Second Age, but I don't think it's quite the same as in the 3rd Age. For example, the Telmori have only been there for about 50 years.

The entire Riskland campaign is inappropriate for the Second Age IMO, in part because it's driven by the Lunars.

Not really interested in the historical aspects of wether something or someone was there at time. Just like the Chaos and evil of Dorostar. Can always change Lunar Empire to that of the God Learner's.

Sure, but I hope Mongoose is. Which means they can't just reprint it, and they can't just search/replace, because the God Learners don't really have a boundary with Dorastor.

I am using the EWF as borders. In all, I am using the setting to place all the fractions together (EWF, GL's, and Chaos). No one really wants an outburst of Chaos in the world

Oh, I'm sure there are some people/things running around/slithering around/oozing around that would love to see a major outburst of chaos in the world - and may even be working towards such a thing.

Mwuhaha...

Well, Ralios borders Dorastor, through Kartolin Pass, and the Jrusteli control Ralios.

In the Third Age, things would fly/creep across the mountains into Ralios. There's also an area just outside Kartolin Pass, which I can't remember the name of, that is a nasty chaotic place, not as bad as Dorastor but not very nice.

But, it couldn't be reprinted with a search and replace because there are many differences between the empires and also between Droastor Past and Dorastor Present.

The Jrusteli claim control over Ralios, but have little presence outside of Safelster. Ormsland in northern Ralios is actually an EWF territory, and is very close to the Kartolin Pass.

Karia is the chaos waste on the other side of the pass from Dorastor. There is a detailed overview of these lands during the Second Age in the Mongoose Ralios PDF.

That's the one. Thanks.

The Jrusteli can just hop over Ormsland and across the Rockwoods and they're in Dorastor. Virtually next door.
