We use a simple version of the BRP rules, without most of the options
(e.g. hit locations), because combat is extremely rare in our setting
and none of the players is interested in more detail.
Infojunky, have you been using ACQ? I'm not perfectly happy with MGT combat, and have been thinking of developing my own combat system - but if there's already a good system, surely I'd use it! If you are using ACQ, please tell us about it!

I have been toying with it again, It was writen as a replacement for T4's personnel combat, but was written in such a way that it is usable for all editions of Traveller.
The system in the core book is too much like DnD at it's base. SO I have been playing around with all the system built for Traveller including the one in the Playtest.
My complaints for the Core Book are;
The initiative system/actions. I really don't like the Major/Minor actions.
The damage system, or rather the scale of it, it has no internal scale I don't mine a Damage resistance system but the one in the Core Book is broke, at all levels....
I have a bunch of ideas; but the biggest thing is I am not trying to change more than I have too....
