The Player's Update PDF really clarifies the Dodge/Parry rules, but I still have a question (sorry if has already been answered elswhere) : what happens when the defender has alreay used all his Reactions and cannot dodge or parry ?
I mean : attacks are opposed checks, and the result depends on both the attack roll and the dodge/parry roll. If the defender cannot take a reaction, he cannot roll. Then how do you decide the result of the attack ?
That brings another question : is it a "failed parry" or a "failed dodge"? In the latter case, the defender is forced to Give Ground, but not in the former.

I would say, just going off common sense it would be a failed dodge. They aren't reacting to the attack so they can't impose a weapon between themselves and the attack. Of course this is just my opinion.

Intuitively I initially thought that, too. But the Dodge results allow for too much movement for the non-Dodge to be as passive as is implied by "aren't reacting". Not only are the players unable to the a weapon inbetween themselves and the attack but they're too tied up in the rest of the combat to avoid it either.
