I was just wondering if how well you all know the rules, with supplements.

Myself, I am not a rulesy person and I rely on my cheat sheets a lot.

I would say I know the rules, and I know them well enough that I can ad lib things the rules do not cover and have them sound like they are official rules, so I chose the last choice. However, I am not a rules lawyer, and I never let rules get in the way of a good story.

I voted three.
No, I don't know the rules very well and I don't intend to. I believe one must be a maniac to know all these OGL feats and such...

You go Vincent! I wish my players would accept my "ad-lib" rules as official ones.

Besides that, if you did not know the rules, I would be amazed.. You do enough work for it..

Now I would accept that last statement, accept I would not use Maniac. Devoted fan, maybe... Damn, I can say that towards HEROSCAPE as well...

As far as feats and such, well I have them all listed with what they do and printed. As well as Combat Manuevers. That was a typing fiasco, but I have all the books done that I have, and this is ALL the books.

I tell my players, if they do not say which Maneuver they are using, I do not give hints. TOo damned many of them.

You are the GM. Need you say more than this to your players? If so, ask one of them to follow all the official rules and GM a game for you. I bet they will soon change their mind.

I admit when the dreaded grapple comes up I have to put my NPC stat sheet down. My habit of trying to write information down in one place (NPC spells and effects, terrain modifiers, difficulty levels, etc.) helps after awhile. That and winging it while scowling behind my screen seem to carry the game along. The books my players own are the AE core and a few F series. The scholar grabbed Scrolls of Skelos so I can get help along the way if I need something looked up.
