Hi,
i searched and searched and search for a hole day now, and i still havent found what i'm looking for.
I'm searching for some rules, to convert the basic DnD Classes (barbarian, bard, clerik, etc) to the conan rules for Dodge and Parry bonuses.
I want to play DnD like DnD, but with armor as Damage reduction and parry and dodge for to get hit...
are there any rules to convert the classes in regard to dodge and parry bonus out there?
hope somebody has an answer for me

thx for you answers

It's all in the Unearthed Arcana. Rules for Dodge bonuses, DR, etc. It's more D&D-tweaked than Conan d20-tweaked but it's all there.

There is a better system for this in the Game of Thrones RPG book by Sword and Sorcery publishing.

Armor is DR, classes each get a defense bonus, and there are various ways to get around armor using called shots, penetrating strikes, and finesse attacks.

In D&D terms, a armor's AC bonus turns into DR instead. All other stats of the armor remain the same. To penetrate the armor, you declare a penetrating strike and take a penalty to your attack equal to the DR of the armor, if you hit, you ignore half the DR of the armor. To bypass the armor, you declare a bypassing strike and take a penalty to your attack equal to twice the DR of the armor. If you hit, you ignore the armor entirely.

However, keep in mind this system used few other rules, like hit points were max 1st level, and then you got a standard amount each level after, which was usually quite small. The massive damage threshold was half your Con score, but it wasn't an instant kill if you hit this, and strength and dexterity did not add to your attack rolls unless you took a feat that let you add it.
