This is something I'm planning as well. For example the party are facing the ultimate trickster, Mad Mary McMadness, high priestess of the goddess of madness. What Mad Mary doesn't know about madness is, well, something or other. So, she casts a Madness Divine Magic spell and drives some one mad. The other 5 players say, was that divine magic? Excellent. No more madness from her until she goes away and prays for a few days.Nickbergquist said:1. Divine magic is not limited to one spell, but whatever DPOW the diviner is willing to put up for it. Leave money cost in place.
It's not that bad. I use a MP cost of 1 for failed castings and that works passably well. You do have to houserule some spells - Dominate comes to mind - but being able to have, essentially, unlimited cantrips is not that bad. If players started to take advantage, I would require fatigue rolls as if magic casting was, effectively, heavy activity just to keep them honest.Nickbergquist said:2. Sorcery: it seems to me that the 0 POW cost for un-manipulated spells is just complete madness.
