I had high hopes for Chimaera, sadly things aren't looking good for it.
The book is horribly disorganized with rules scattered all over the place. The text mentions a weapons chart which isn't included.
Many rules are completely absent, little things like how much the character can lift... No rules (that I can find, see lack of organization) for knockback. System mechanics that only get vague mentions once in the book but are rather important sounding. The whole "Yours or Mine" rule that allows a player to either use the roll they made or a hidden roll made by the director (GM) but no mention of when this can be done and if there are any limits on it.
No way to create strong characters like Colossus or Spider-Man let alone the Hulk. Although with no way to tell how much a character can lift I can't be sure of that...
Finally the director's section mentions something about fate ratings and you can only use villains with your fate rating or less. No other mention is made in the entire book of fate ratings and none of the characters in the book have fate ratings.
*Sigh* There is the core of a nice looking system here but it's sadly undeveloped. Perhaps after a sizeable amount of errata and a couple more supplements it will be actually playable.
