"Director´s Cut" 2-28

will the books 2-28 be "only" reprints of the original books, or will there be new pictures new storylines etc etc in the following books?

My understanding is that 2-28 will be basically reprints with limited editing of the main text but there will be new pictures and I have been very pleased with the art work in book 1. In addition there will be mini adventures in each book taking a character from the book and giving him or her their own show.

I'm really looking forward to them.

You mean a REAL book 28. I don't consider the first one with only 300 sections as the real book but only as the first script of the final version.

Its going to be interesting to see how much they change.

Book 1 has been rewritten pretty extensively, and there's quite a few changes in it that I would expect to be referenced later in the Gamebooks.

Plus there seem to be a lot of new items added which may turn up again.

There was a certain item that would have proven of great use in FotW had I been allowed to keep it, also a couple of, imo, powerful items that would also be of use later.
