I actually posted this very suggestion a LOOOONG time ago, and I have to agree ti would be a good RPG, it has a great dea of depth and scope that would make it ideal for anh RPG.

looking back to the tv show looong time ago i forgot alot of it but i think it should be a mix of miniature and rpg like you could have a main char leading a group of solders? i prob wrong i forgot wat show was bout lol

A whole mass of new and old threads went walkabout some time back... it was one of them.

People should not be too overly critical based on the TV series either (the two part mini series was much better than the followup series), but the whole thing is based on a series of books and it is very good.

I still have not watched any of the tv versions of the story, which is apparently a good thing.

But I know the book well, and have both the original, the sequel, and a few of the others, like the kids books.

I think the original is GREAT, and the others add to such a great world.
I wouldn't poo-poo an RPG based on this world, to be sure.

Ok, now that I know its actually a book, I won't judge lol. All I saw was about twenty minutes of the TV show or whatever that came on Sci-Fi Channel and I think it actually made me nauseous, but by the way you guys are talkin' 'bout it I might have to go n' pick up a copy.

At the very least, find it in a library or book store, sit down and read it. It's great.
The artwork alone is amazing (a few weeks ago I flipped through the original, just to see the artwork).

I read the Alan Dead Foster novel - I liked it - especially that the carnivores were also intelligent - if a bit lazy! So T Rex character class here we come! :shock:
