Also is there an update for its release. I’m nearing the end of Pirates and wanted to do something with this before it finished.
 
The Drinaxian Companion is about 3 weeks-ish away, and the Shadows of Sindal will follow very quickly after that!

The Drinaxian Companion is an expansion to both the Trojan Reach and the Pirates of Drinax campaign, and useful for any and all pirate-based adventures in Traveller.

This volume presents additional rules and adventure possibilities, along with a useful summary of the Pirates of Drinax campaign and locations featured within it. New aspects of the Trojan Reach sector are explored with Central Supply Catalogue and High Guard additions that cover the Sindalian Empire, base building, and new starships such as the Rorix Command Vessel, Cestion Strike Boat, and the ECITS modular system that permits the quick and easy customisation of a standard vessel to accommodate a massive range of functions.


Inside you will find:

• Guidance on running the campaign with new perspectives and schemes the Travellers can attempt.
• A complete Assets and Factions system, allowing the Travellers to build a network of havens and supporting organisations across the sector.
• A detailed look at the nature of piracy and counters to it.
• Rules for building pirate bases from scratch, ensuring there is always a safe place to run to when the Imperial Navy arrives.
• A deep dive into specific locations and patrons found within the Trojan Reach.

Do you imagine that this book will be included in the Pirates of Drinax addon package of your next Kickstarter?

Honestly do not know what will happen to add-ons in future Kickstarters :)

I didn’t actually count on it but it was worth a shot :)

Due to a very attractive discount once upon a time I own the digital version of Pirates, but I do intend to purchase the physical books at some point - preferably as part of a Kickstarter campaign to bump the stretch goals a wee bit further :)

The way most books are priced (and the fact that I enjoy physical books!) is most likely that the physical/digital bundle is the way to go with the companion, but I doubt I’ll need two copies... Nevermind, that’s an issue for later!

Roughly how much will print version of The Drinaxian Companion cost also when do you think I will be able to preorder The Sword Worlds (and how much will the print version cost). Thanks

Thanks a lot for the contents summary. This covers many of the aspects, I wished to see in such a supplement. We're midway through the first adventure ("Honour Among Thieves"), so I hope I can still integrate most of it. That shouldn't be a problem, except maybe for "First Prize", but that might work nonetheless, we're likely adding sub-campaigns with secondary characters anyway, as PoD uses this in the naval adventure, anyway, and my players no that spiel from Cthulhu backflash scenarios.

One question remains: Is there a more detailed description about Drinax proper and the Vespexers? I came up with something yesterday, which is a bit extreme concerning the planet itself—basically I rolled Drinax up as an almost tidally locked world (with a one second difference between orbital and rotation period), which makes it a strange world. But I'd be fine with a more conventional Drinax and using my write-up for another post-Sindalian hellhole. :D
