Different Missiles for ISA

Goldritter

Mongoose
The new ISA ships like WSC-2 and White Star Gunship have a Missile Rack.
Beacause the ISA is supported by the EA too, is it possible to use different Missiles like EA ships which have Missile Racks ?

It could be something you use as a friendly house rule among friends, giving the ISA access to more specialist ammo. Or perhaps even add another event roll onto the Campaign refit chart?

The ISA do not have access to Missile variants for their own ships as the rules currently stand.

Any aLKlied ships that would normally have access to them would, so take them as allies.

If you want to house rule it that the ISA does get Missile variants, then go for it.

The ISA also don't (unless clarified otherwise) have access to the EA Thunderbolt and Starfury with the better dogfight scores...sucks to be ISA

Don't all ISA ships get the +1 CQ? You can buy Starfuries and Thunderbolts as ISA units rather than allies, thus they should get the bonus. Of course it's an unfair, beardy advantage, but they should still get it...

This would only help for attempting All Scanners special action with the fighters. CQ has no effect on a dogfight.

Erm... since when? It's D6+CQ+dogfight bonus. Or so I was told here...

Checking SFoS I see that that's correct. It actually says you add the CQ score, so that's an extra +1 for a CQ5 flight or +2 for a CQ6 flight, assuming they're dogfighting with CQ4 opponents.

It's bad enough that the Starfury goes up to +2 dogfight in Armageddon, but the ISA get them as +3 against normal opponents. Plus, in Armageddon all fighters are CQ4 no matter the CQ of their mother ship. Except ISA who still get their +1 CQ bonus.

I beleve than the Ws and Ws2 were the most deadly ship with the low pl in the game. Given them missile variants, and that IS AN ARMAGEDON SHIP!

No triggy said. AS long as that is right.

That ISA gets the old SFOS furies only.

And taking furies as allies, doesnt get you the ISA CQ Bonus. SO whatever Fury you buy, its only Dogfight2. And ISA directly bought ones have the advantage of better CQ for scanners to full and stuff like that.

And yes i hate the rule of fighters having automatic CQ4. Kinda makes the idea of a CQ6 Poseidon not so powerful anymore :S

No, Voronesh, you're wrong. All ISA ships get +1 to their CQ score, and Starfuries and Thunderbolts are available as independant wings and come loaded aboard the Victory-class destroyer. Thus they get +1 CQ, and thus they're at an extra +1 in dogfights vs CQ4 enemies.

Check the ISA fleet rules in SFoS, it's right there. Unless something changed for the ISA in Armageddon that still applies.

This is what im basing my reply on. ISA Furies get Dogfight +1 plus CQ+1, total of Dogfight +2.
Allied Furies from EA forces get Dogfight +2. No CQ Bonus as allies do not profit from the ranger bonus, total dogfight +2.

So unless there is a faq that changes that. There is no change there.

That's almost certainly an oversight. If the Starfury flight's stats change, they change. It's not like it's a new model going into service, it's a revision of the unit's stats.

Yer well as good as the Drakh cruisers aft AF Laser cannon......

Dont ask me why, but thats the way it currently stands.

Or Centauri Battle Lasers without the beam trait......dunno forgot the ship name.
