Designing Deckplans

Ok, a few points. 1.5 meter = 5 feet, thus 1 dTon is a box 5 ft x 5 ft x 10 ft.

Remember you have a 20% slop factor, a lot of the Classic ships didn't count corridor spaces.

Don't forget the vertical, which is a major failing of a lot of deckplans, they come out looking like buildings instead of ships. (try laying out a 100 tons ship with two full length decks)

With the above I often start with external elevations, That way I can locate where the decks are as well as the through deck fittings. (Hint locate the Quarterdeck i.e. the main personnel entrance to the ship (main Personnel Lock) Often this is an after thought)

I have a lot more, but they are just details, the biggest thing is to Draw.
