Demonstrations and Organized Play for MgT2

Mongoose
Years earlier there were Traveller Demos as part of the Mongoose Infantry program. Years earlier there was also an effort to have an Organized Play program for Traveller. With MgT2 coming out, will there be a return of these programs with the appropriate revisions?

The Organized Play program should be seriously considered for restart due to the sales strength of the Pathfinder Society for Pathfinder RPG and the D&D Adventurer's League for D&D5. Organized play does seem to increase visibility and sales. Readily available campaigns such as Pirates of Drinax and Secret of the Ancients could be adapted for this task.

EDIT: Considering the success of Book 0: An Introduction to Traveller as a gateway for new players of the game, perhaps a revised edition of that to match the changes with MgT2 could be created. A logical followup to Book 0 would be some introductory adventures as well.

I ran the four organised play mods for some friends at a UK convention a few years back and they were very popular.

Not sure how suitable Secrets would be in organised play as potentially chopping between groups of pcs might be a bit jarring. I've not read Pirates but the premise of groups being given letters of marque could work well.

Was looking at the Char Creation rules in the Companion Book. Point Buy is normal for OP games, so characters have an element of equity.
I'm looking at having the PCs be Agents (Rangers) of the TAS, doing Search and Rescue for the lost or missing members. Pay and rewards would be on a per mission basis.

I ran Traveller as a quick one shot in the summer of 2024 at the library. I did several events, introduced the game to a bunch of people.

Given the tight time frame of a demo session, I found it best to use pre-generated characters. Not enough time to do the full mini-game of generating characters.
