Parts of the Moon’s surface have been shielded from radiation by extremely weak magnetic fields. Now researchers have worked out how and say their discovery could protect astronauts on long-duration space missions

There is also work ongoing with just having a layer of shielding with an active electron field to do the same work. Could even be incorporated into a space suit for EV work.
