I had trouble finding specific info on this in the forums, so hopefully this is not an old question:
My impression of Up The Rigging means that whether boarding another ship or simply doing actions on your own ship, you are immune to balance rolls. You don't have to make them.
However, my GM is a bit uncertain and currently defaults to this feat bonus only applying to when boarding another ship.
Just checking to see what the correct understanding and application of Up The Rigging and also what constitutes Shipboard Maneuvers, as apposed to maneuvers for boarding a ship.
