Dark Passions is out!

hegemon

Mongoose
Just received this book in the post 5 minutes ago, I've had a quick scan through, It is rather well laid out, the artwork is breath-taking, its better in B&W than in colour I think, I'm gunna read acouple of the stories when I go to bed tonight.

Wish me luck.

PS. Just wish I could get the guys to sign it, but that would involve a very expensive plane flight. oh well.

PPS. Also I never realised that the female on the cover, one in the middle, was a Dohanoid, untill I had the product in my hands. doh!

I'm still waiting for mine - but I know for a fact that I ordered it before Hegemon, so I expect it'll turn up today/tomorrow.

Sweet

Read the peices of fiction now and they are really good, my fav is entitled splitting hairs, my second is the last one, called scene of the crime

Hi guys,

Just to explain. . .

Dark Passions is not officially released until next month, but we printed a small run to meet the mail orders of those who have been waiting some time for it. Not all have been sent out yet (principally because of GAMA), but the rest will be sent out at the end of this week.

Sure, but where some of us have been waiting for longer than Hegemon and using him as a benchmark for 'waiting for some time', does that mean we can assume that ours are already in the post?

Any chance of seeing it at Mongoose Hall on the 11th?

As another heads up, the art was never in color for Dark Passions, it was prepared in gray scale. On the core book, there are quite a few great looking pieces in there that are in color and translate just as well to the new gray scale printing.

Holy smokes! That was fast - my CTech Dark Passions book arrived today. What a great looking book - the cover is fantastic! Even in b&w, this book looks great. I can't wait to read it.

Thanks Mongoose! And great job Mike V!

As someone who ordered in November 2007, I hate you.

Actually, it upsets me more that Mongoose seems to ship to any address outside of the US/UK last, despite the longer delivery times.

They go at the same time - there is never more than a gap of a couple of days, unless we need restocks ourselves (and then it is not dependant on country of destination).

It just takes longer to ship to other countries!

Cheers for the confirmation. My observation was based on two previous orders (Cthulhutech and RQ Slaine) where the date of postage was several days after postage/delivery on UK/US bound books was confirmed. Add in the extra shipping time to where and I live and the delay was considerable in both cases.

On saying all that, I am mostly happy that the book has finally seen the light and, to be honest, I stopped caring too much on the exact delivery time sometime in March.
