Dark coloured acetate sheets

I'm looking for dark tinted acetate sheets to make windows with, preferably a transparent black colour or medium grey. I'm having no luck finding anything of the sort, though. Even a wander around office supply shops hasn't thrown up any decent acetate printer paper. I'd even settle for a mid-blue colour at this rate. It doesn't need to be super thick as it'll be supported, it just needs to look like a futuristic glass window.

you could buy vallejo water effect mix it with ink to make up any colour you wan,t spread it out on a tile and cut it up when it dries out.

you'll gert it on ebay no problem.

If you can't find somewhere on the internet to buy coloured cell sheets (used for fiddling with lighting) try colouring clear acetate. But only try that after checking placed like Hobby craft for coloured acetate.

I used the tail-ends of exposed 35 mm film...its stiff enough to work with and has just the right tint (a kind of darkish brown color but very reflective) to look like a dark tinted window...specifically I used it on the turret periscopes on the IJN Yamato battleship model...it was perfect glass-type areas...you can also get it clear depending on how it was exposed or with even a bit of a blue in it...try a developing store...they got the stuff all over the floor they'd prabably give to you...lastly its better to use Elmers white or wood glue to install it so as not to craze it that super glue does...not as strong but it drys clear too..

Boomer :P
