Counts-as "Clicky-Figs" to ACTA:SF?

I plan to play ACTA:SF with "certain starship type clicky figures" as counts-as proxies until I have the funds to get ACTA:SF figs. I was going to ask and/or post thoughts about using "certain starship type clicky figures" in a counts-as format for a game of ACTA:SF. However, after reading Welcome to the Star Fleet Universe, I am afraid to post anything that might get me in trouble with the IP police.

Assuming I cannot use Paramount IP names, can any discussion of the above happen? If I mention certain figure numbers instead of ship names, is that doable? Or would I be better off making a blog post and discussing such there?

I would think a blog post might be a better idea. Also, given that those mini's you mention are around the £4-5 mark each, I actually question whether they would be that much cheaper than the Starline 2500 ones. Wouldn't counters be a much better option if you lack funds?

I will do a blog post then.

I already have the ships from said clicky game (mostly commons, which are cheap locally). I just hate the clicky rules for them. Thus ACTA:SF to the rescue. :)

As they are around 'micro-machine' size, if you have these go for it. Won't mix well with the SL2500 mini's - the the Futura ones do :!:
