Mongoose
Hello everyone,
I'm creating a spreadsheet design aid that combines the starship/system ship sequence in the core rulebook with many of options from HG. I've reached the installation of the jump drive and I'm wondering if the system should have a backup or not. If I recall correctly most, TNE and/or T4 maybe exceptions, Traveller design sequences do not allow backup or redundant jump drives if the option is explicitly mentioned.
Does the Mongoose design sequence permit having a backup/redundant jump drive?
If the Mongoose design sequence does permit backup/redundant jump drives what are the limits?
I'm thinking that the redundant/backup j-drive should be at maximum equal to the main drive rating. Maritime ships that have a backup system, usually the system that turns the screw, is limited to speeds slower than that of the main system.
Thanks for any help in advance.
