Conan Triumphant

Of all the three CN modules, CN3 is the only one worth saving. It is adapted from the novel by Robert Jordan and is rather interesting. You'll also get some information on Ophir and the city of Ianthe. I have reproduced some of it here:

Cool! I've got a lot of that info in the module itself. I've only done a quick read through of the module, but am just looking for resources to make the conversion process easier, or conversion notes if somebody has already done them. Things like NPC stats (it's too bad the Road of Kings books don't have a few pages for common NPC type stat blocks, something like what is in the Shadizar box set) would help immensely.

I didn't use OGL when I ran the scenario so I can't help. Anyways you'll find stats for various mercenary units, as well as some famous mercenary characters (although not the ones of Conan Triumphant) in Free Companies. Of course it will cost you $24.95 extra bucks, but the book might be of some help if you plan to run a mercenary campaign.

Wow, yeah, I completely forgot about that book. Will actually get to put it to some use this time around. Any pitfalls or trouble areas in the adventure? Did you have to do any re-writing? How'd the adventure flow with your group?

Wow! It must've been 20 years or so since I last ran the adventure (although I plan to insert it in my current campaign someday soon), so my memories are dim about it. I remember we had quite a good time with it.

The novel by Robert Jordan can be an useful tool, too.

Well, reading the adventure I do have some questions. Namely about encounters. I've found NPC stats for the named NPCs in the middle of the book and some "new" monsters and creatures at the end, but where in the module are the stats for everything else? Like the bandits encountered at the beginning of the adventure? I can't find any info on them in the module, so are they really well hidden, am I blind, or do I need the original box set TSR came out with?

The original TSR Conan rules by David "Zeb" Cook are available on ZeFRS site. You'll find Goon stats in the "Rogues Gallery" Section, under "New Material".
The rules are simple and intuitive, with some really good ideas. However the original boxed set had a somewhat "unfinished" feel, hence the lack of certain stats in the module.
