[CONAN] Question - DR Optional Rule

There's an optional rule that states when damage is reduced to zero because of armor DR, the target still takes one point of non-lethal damage (or, as an option to the optional rule, one point of lethal damage).

Question 1: Do you use this Optional Rule in your games?

Question 2: If you do, do you use it as non-lethal or lethal damage?

Question 3: I could see the point of damage being applied once per attack or once per attacker (per round). So, if the foe gets three attacks, and all three hit and are reduced to zero damage because of the defender's armor, then the defender gets 3 points of damage. Or....the character only gets a maximum of one point of damage per combat round (per attacker).

For question 3, which would you use?

I have never used the rule in either form. While being tempted to for one character who turtled up the amount of penalties to his move and skills was (to me) offset enough for his coming through alot of encounters unscathed.
He took the Heavy Armor feat for his Barbarian so I knew it was something he viewed as an accomplishment to have.
In retrospect if we start up those characters again I might be tempted to bring in the non-lethal version in the rules. I stuck to fatigue and heat penalties before.
Since he spent several sessions suffering from a penalty to attacks and other skills before being proficient in the use of that armor I didn't bring it into play. And the rest of the party normaly sticks to the light/skin armor classes.
