By the way, Matt, a heartfelt thanks to you and all the folks at Mongoose who've contributed to the Conan game line and forum over the years, especially Vince, Eric and Bryan.
Truth be told, I was done with the D&D and the d20 system before discovering Conan early last year. Not only was the setting absolutely what I was looking for in a RPG but the 'Goose's tweaks to the core rules fixed (or at least went a long way toward making me gripe less about) a lot of the issues I had with 'em.
One of my favorite games...ever! I'm looking forward to starting a new campaign with a couple of friends with the arrival of the new year.
Lucky for us, there's a ton of Conan stuff out there waiting for us to use it for our game. For example, the CHRONICLES OF COAN series is superb as a supplement to the game. Not only can you take scenario ideas from it, but there are tons of other ideas, from creatures, to sorcery, to unique weapons, to NPCs, to reglion, world events, even ideas on how certain peoples should "look". It's a great resource and a fun read.
