I can't help with the actual conversion, but I could make a pdf out of the results (and check for inconsistencies in the material of different writers) if you are interested.

OK, just a notice. Patrick (CthulhuFnord) and I have started the initial contact to work on this project. This is going to take some time.

DirkD has contacted me regarding editing and PDF work.

I have asked Mongoose to make this a sticky, but I think they are on Vacation.

We will keep everyone updated as we get things done, but the final work will most likely be what gets on the wiki...
