Conan Characters

Yes.

The book will contain stats for Conan at various stages of his life, together with a slew of other characters from the book - good and bad and stats for sample 'generic' npcs.

The short answer is yes!

The long answer involves the variants on the Scholar core class, one of which is Acolyte. Acolytes are apprenticed to either a lone master or a coven or sorcerous society of some kind. Acolyte too is divided into several distinct types, so if you're in the Black Ring you are taught certain sorcery styles first and later get a free choice as to what you learn once you're a more senior member of the cult.

There's also a chapter on Religion in the Hyborian Age. Priests are scholars just like any other, though depending on their religion they may find sorcery frowned upon, permitted, or positively required!

There are other options for scholars who don't want to learn sorcery, such as priests of Mitra. These will likely not have the raw power of either a full-on Hyborian Age sorcerer or a more D&D-style cleric -- their strengths are more likely to be knowledge and social skills.

Is the "official" chronology by Miller and Clark being used for Conan's career, or will a new chronology be drawn up?

I've been roughly following the story order given by the Gollancz editions of Conan, but I don't regard it as crucial to precisely define the order. If it does have to be done, I favour something along the lines of that proposed on this webpage:

I'm not sure it's really necessary, though. Howard didn't seem to bothered by it. It's clear there are several distinct phases to Conan's life -- thief, mercenary/wanderer, highly ambitious mercenary/wanderer, king -- but that should be all we need for running a game, I think.

Fair enough. I suppose leaving Conan's life ambiguous gives GMs room to come up with their own chronology as well.

Thanks for the link. :p I thought I knew every major Conan/REH site on the web, glad to know there are still new sites to be found.

will we see valsa doom and will ther be any premade adventures .

Unless I am mistaken,I think you mean Thulsa Doom.If this is gonna be pretty much REH cannon then I would think ,no.
Thulsa Doom is Kull's nemesis and I remember being quite surprised that they didnt just use Thoth Amon in the movie.

Is there any chance of a list of which characters from the books are stat-ed out?
