(CONAN) Blood of the giants doubt

Hi everyone,

In page 51 of the Bestiary of the Hyborian Age, the Blood of the giants feat says "You are a Large creature, suffering the bonuses and penalties of larger size (see page 169)."

In page 169, the chart shows that going from medium to large, increases Strenght and Constitution, and decreases Dexterity. It stacks with the bonus to Str, Con and Dex that appears in the feat itself?

If it stacks, I think it is excessive for a character, specially, one who can be armed and armoured.

I don't think the stats modifier applies since they are already explicite.

I think the bonus/penalty it refers to are those specific to BAB, Grapple and Defence.

Another doubt.

Page 170 of Bestiary of the hyborian age.

The dice progression table don´t show d12. How could I convert this, for, e.g. a War sword for a giant-kin?

The simples way would be to look at the progression of the other dice, see what type of increase occurs 10%, 20% etc. the extrapolate for the d12. At worse you could try 2d8 or somethingl ike that.

I took a look and it,s a 50% increase...so a D12 would become 3d6.

Another one related with the former: A giantkin with a warsword, using it at one hand (if he could) deals 1D12, or is it a GIANT Warsword dealing 3D6?

Don't recall. I would say either core book or the bestiary. Worse case just call it as a "houserule".

A giant-sized warsword would deal 3d6 points of damage.

A Regular sized warsword would still deal d12 when wielded by the giant due to the mass of the weapon...but with a bigger damage bonus due to strength.

I don´t find in any of the possible books. Perhaps I use it like follows

A large or bigger vreature could use medium size, two handed weapons with only one hand. If the weapon is large size, the large or bigger creature must use it with both hands.

It stops from a giant kin using two bardiches...
