Combining different magic on an weapon / item

Is it possible to cast, for example, Pierce (a Common Magic Spell) with Damage Enhancement (a Sorcery Spell), or even True(weapon)?

Each of these spells specifically calls out that other similar spells from the same type of magic are not compatible (so pierce and bladesharp for example). But what about spells that do similar things but from different sources / types of magic?

I would probably not allow it though precedence in older editions is mixed.
For example pierce says "A weapon under the effects of Pierce cannot benefit from other damage enhancing spells..." and although it only mentions other common magic I would include any spell which enhances damage in this prohibition. The only caveat I would add is that if Pierce 1 and Truesword Mag 8 is cast on the sword that the Truesword overrides the Pierce as it's higher magnitude.

On the whole though there is no obvious rhyme and reason why Shield would stack with Protection but Truesword wouldn't stack with Pierce so it's pretty much a case of making it up for yourself I reckon.
