Classic Adventures

Just coming into Runequest with this latest edition. What are the classic Runequest adventures of old, what is Runequest's "Keep on the Borderlands" adventure that inspired you the most?

Not only looking for encounter ideas, but also a general feel on how adventures are built. Of course I imagine getting a hold of these older adventures could prove troublesome.

"Apple Lane" is the classic in the same way as KotB, and for simialr reasons - it was included in the boxed set! (It was also republished for RQ3, and converted to Hero Wars here

My favourite RQ2 set is Borderlands, though many others swear by Griffin Mountain - fortunately both were reprinted by Moon Design which made them much easier to find!

I have played all or part of Apple Lane, Borderlands and Griffin Mountain. I adapted the Rainbow Mounds for my Redbird Clan game (Pendragon Pass rules). I think it was the Ring of Explorer's first mission.

I ran a group new to RQ3 (a couple of players new to RPGs) in the River of Cradles campaign. Face down in the mud is an interesting way to start out your character.

If you are interested in old RQ adventures, the old Judges Guild RQ Gateway adventures are available as low priced, scanned PDFs at DriveThruRPG.com. RQ Gateway modules were non-Gloranthan materials. They have Broken Tree Inn, Duck Pond, Duck Tower and Hellpits of Nightfang.
