Okay, so the game engine supports a wide variety of power levels. That's good to see. Personally I like my superheroes around the power level of Wolverine and Spider Man and even Batman and Punisher.

Some of my favorite characters during my playing days where ripped out of the pages of my favorite books. A little Repairman Jack (F. Paul Wilson) a touch of Harry Dresden (Jim Butcher) with a gentle dash of Rachel Morgan (Kim Harrison). These characters are special because what they do can hurt them. To me there has to be that threat of getting your backside handed to you that makes a character far more playable.
Let's hope your experience with the game spawns some fantastic characters that are just human enough to be a little afraid of getting hurt.

Thank you all for tracking the books progress from idea to publication. The system is up and running, dice are rolling, sugar snacks are being consumed and all is well. Previews should be up soon and our first cut in Signs and Portents is out. (S&P 60) It's been a wonderful time.
