Chicken or the Egg Crit Sequence Question.

Ah, now I see the difference. In SF melodrama it is required for lead characters to be intimately involved in any goings on, hence a "bridge" hit that renders them hors de combat means no-one is able to get on with their jobs since the micromanagement they expect and indeed love has been removed.

VAS ships, being crewed by more practical seagoing types who are properly trained, do not suffer this inbuggerance and thus can get on with what thye were told despite the loss of the scrambled egg brigade on the bridge (plus they are well appointed with junior officers and POs who keep things going).

Voila - a rationale for the difference

PS Guess how this one will be (in fact has been) written up in the WW1 version :D

Actually, its a well known fact that with the exception of a few expendable security personnel, and a few bumbling ensigns that are seen only infrequently. . . sci-fi ships are crewed entirely by senior officers. Hence the reason the senior officers are doing everything all the time.

Since the special order has already succeeded, hard to see how the bridge hit makes any difference.

The same arguement could have been made for ACTA, but it failed.

LBH

But in ACTA all the hands that were brought on deck would have been sucked out into space through the crit hole so couldnt repair it

Wouldn't this give a +2 to repair rolls then since their bodies just plugged the Breach?

LOL, you've never watched the end of "Goldfinger" have you? :D

Or Alien Ressurection

LBH

Unfortunately, I've seen both. enjoyed "Goldfinger" but "Alien Resurrection" is 2 hours of my life I'll never get back!

Easily the worst of the "Alien" movies.

Alien 3 probably had Sigourney Weaver's best performance. The idea that their was no weapons with which to fight the alien was a cool one.
The only real problem was the liberties that they took with the end of Aliens and that they dispatched the survivors of the previous film so quickly.

Resurrection was way better than Alien 3.

I've played in the crew of the Betty in the Firefly universe using the heroquest RPG system, twice

I stand corrected. I thought Resurrection was Alien 3. Alien 3 was the worst. Resurrection wasn't too bad.

Saying it was Sigourney Weaver's best performance is not saying much, as I don't think much of her as an actor. Although, I would argue her best performance was in Ghostbusters.

LBH, what is an oarallel? :?

Plus there's always the chance that the original ruling was wrong :)

Don't get me started on this one, As Matt seems to say that once a rulings been made its irrevocable (even if wrong) see the long lance thread in rulemasters

Though Matt has been known to contradict his own rulings within the space of a game turn at some times.

Aye up to the point of deleting the post I made after him saying that, pointing out that................ See I said dont get me started NOW STOP IT
