Challenger II Armour: Wrong name?

Hi,

I don't if this is intentional or not, but the Challenger II MBT page at the BF:EVO site and the Stat Card have a typo on the armour name.

The armour is generally called Chobham Armour, and not Chobam.

Chobham armour is a composite armour developed in the 1960s at the British tank research centre on Chobham Common.

The latest version of Chobham armour is used on the Challenger 2 (called Dorchester armour), and (though the composition most probably differs) the M1 Abrams series of tanks.

You're right! Just checked and mine says CHOBAM

The British Infantry on Evo Command also have "Future Infantry Soldier Tecnology" instead of "Future Integrated Soldier Technology" but I think the stat cards caught that one?

Maybe they were trying to avoid Copyright :D

To the average gamer no matter though. In 15 years time I'm sure the technology will be more advanced and have a different Accronym anyway

If future technology or avoiding copyrights was the case, why not just use a different name all together?

And why still use names like Challenger II and Abrams?

Hum... :?

Because "Big Green Tank" sounds like a childs toy rather than a mini for a wargame!

Also what would you do if you decided to paint your Big Green tank in Desert camo? Then you would be really stuffed!!!

Errr... what? :?

But no fear, CHOBAM is in fact a typo, an error.

It should read CHOBHAM.

The powers that be are already on the job.
