For me weapons (and related combat gear) should even only occupy a quarter or a third of the book.

I agree, but I would buy a well illustrated book even if civilian equipment
would only occupy less than half of the book (but do not tell Mongoose :wink: ).

It is a real mixture - just about every piece of equipment that has ever appeared in Traveller is in this book, with plenty of new and funky items! The principle authors are M J Dougherty and Bryan Steele.

I would like to say yes - however, I just know that someone, somewhere is going to point out that we don't have item X from supplement y produced by publisher z in 1981, or something similar

It has a whole lot. Like, more than you will ever likely use in, say, seven campaigns
