I have a Centauri Fleet from a friend and since the models will or are availabel, I would like to flesh this fleet out.

I have the following:

1 - Balvarin
2 - Centurion
1 - Dargan
2 - Darkner
2 - Kutai
2 - Maximus
2 - Octurion
2 - Primus
6 - Vorchans
8 - Flights of Sentri which I will modify to 16 flights, I use 3 fighters per base on 1" square wooden bases from Litko.

What should I purchase to flesh this out for a nice all around fleet.

Thanks

Tom

Depends on how big you want to go I guess. I like the Morgrath myself, as well as Rutarians. You might consider a Liati as well.

Cheers, Gary

A couple of Covrans - scouts are essential.
Altarians - the Elutarian variant can be nasty.
Sulusts if you like beams.

Definitely a Liati.

I'd be tempted to get another Balvarin for large battles as well, maybe a couple of Haven.

Otherwise with a Liati, a couple of Elutarian and a Sulust or two you are about there :)

(in fact you don't really need 2 Octurion - they are a bit weak!)

Ah, my good and dear friend! Welcome to the glorious Centauri Republic! You have a fine fleet under your command but you need more fighters. If you count up the number of Sentri flights your ships carry, you should look to obtain at least that many. I'd also try to lay hands on some Razik flights - easily one of the best dogfighters out there, useful when facing the dastardly Earth Alliance or Minbari Federation - and some Rutarian flights - one of the best fighters in the game.

A couple more Vorchans wouldn't hurt, you'll want them in large numbers for very big games but six is plenty, so that's a personal preference. The Morgrath and Sulust you can do without; I haven't found either to be spectacular and the Vorchan and Centurion are such attractive choices you may find yourself leaving those new models on the shelf.

As already pointed out, you need a Corvan (for God's sake spell it right, guys) or two and an Altarian or two can be useful. Their all-round guns can be very handy against races that will try to flank or get into your rear arc.

The Liati is a nice choice at battle but so, so fragile. I've never used one but others here speak very highly of them.

Really it's down to personal preference at this stage. You have the basics down pat and you don't need anything else strictly speaking.

Best of luck in your games, and take our people back to the stars!

Actually I play Narn and Brakiri and I am using the Centuari as targets (Aim Small Miss Small)!
Really this is the one fleet in our group that we do not have a complete fleet of models and since my friend has not played with us in awhile, due to personal reason, I thought I would flesh out the fleet.

Thanks for the imput. I think a couple of Corvans, Sulust, Havens, Altarians, a Liati, and fighters should do it. What he had was the old Fleet box and Reinforcement box sets, so those must have been good buys.

Thanks

Tom

David - in B5W they were called Covrans, the spelling has changed in ACTA to Corvan. No wonder people mix the two up!
