Centauri Demos and Vorchan

Sounds good to me. But a small weapons upgrade would make the Cronos a bit more juice, too

I have a 20 point war game with Centauri v EA this week, my fleet will include 8 Vorchans and 8 Demos, I'll let you know how they do.

Pretty much exactly the kind of game we need. Although only 10% of your fleet are comprised of the ship in question, so shouldnt be too dominating.

Its just then in a direct comparison the Vorchan seems powerful. OTOH the Vorchan has simply put every single AD it has in its forward arc. Comparing them against a drazi warbird seems mostly ok.

But triggys numbers are a little disturbung ^^.

Indeed. I'm with many others that I simply can't see how Vorchans can be better than Demoses. They have very similar firepower but the Demos is about 20-25% more survivable.

The numbers have a couple of factors that make them high aside from the raw firepower and defences. These include having all of their guns in one arc (although there is the increased possibility of losing all weapons to a critical, more importantly you can bring every single AD to bear on a single target at a time); speed in combination with agility is a potent combination; the ratio of firepower to defences is high.
