Well lets face it, anything that fires a gun seems to kill anything it hits. Kind of inevitable in a universe that doesn't have energy shields. Only the organic ships such as Shadow vessels, Vorlon cruisers, and White Stars actually seemed to be able to survive direct hits. Even top of the line Minbari ships could be seriously threatened by ships as primitive as old EA vessels if they could actually get through the stealth.
As for the Vorchan and appropriate placing of it, this once again goes back to the age old debate of simplicity versus accuracy. With only seven values where ships are concerned some accuracy is inevitably going to be lost.
But going back to the new Centauri vessel I'd personally like it to be a Raid ship. It looks like it serves the same role as the Vorchan(pack hunter type ship) and at Battle level it'll be hard to form a pack of these at anything lower than War level engagements. Obviously we'll need to see the whole battle to get an idea of what they really do but at this point it looks like an ambush so they probably got some good initial barrages in before the Warlocks could return the favor.
And I fall in the group who says the Warlock should be a War level ship and not Armageddon. Then again I think all of the Armageddon ships except for the Shadows, Vorlons, and maybe Minbari should be War level. Maybe we could also make an exception for the Adira since it's a fusion of Centauri and Drakh tech and the Centauri are stated to be more advanced than anyone except the Minbari even during the era where their empire was in decline. Toss in some Drakh technology and you just might have the tech to produce an Armageddon level vessel.
EA, Narn, Dilgar, and the League shouldn't have Armageddon ships at this point though.
