Can't Waite!!!

And just to tease you, my copy of elric is right here beside me. I just go tit yesterday and it is oh so good.

No binding of demons and elemental's now though. I have to admit that I was a little disappointed by that. There was a post a little while ago where this was mentioned and Loz gave his thoughts on the subject. Still, you gotta miss those bound demons. :(

But instead you get lots of very nifty cult gifts... okay, they come with a compulsion, but I reckon the gifts more than compensate for a lack of 20D8 demon Lormyrian Axes.

Well, someone could always right a S&Particle about how to do it, or it could appear in an upcoming book. Only so much can fit into a core rulebook. Unless you want it 200 pages long and costing 100 euros or more that is.

Absolutely Loz, but there was something about the fact that your opponent might have had one of those intercontinental ballistic lormyrian axes that often prevented PC's from the attack first/talk later approach to a situation.
Of course, my players and I have mostly progressed past that stage now, but they occasionally still feel the need to offer up blood and souls.

Absolutely. Nothing to prevent someone drafting something for S&P and there will be binding rules in the RQ GMs Guide for generic demonism aspects of sorcery. If the need for bound demons is exceedingly heavy for your EoM campaign, those rules will port without any difficulty (but there won't be demon binding in either the EoM Companion or EoM Magick books).

But again, I come back to faithfulness to the saga, which was my core aim, and not necessarily replicating all the (admittedly fun) aspects of previous Elric games.

And yes, Tarkan, deterrence was always a good measure!

Well, hell, I may take a stab at doing such an article. After all one of my main npcs will have a water elemental bound to a sword. I just need to learn the rules. And read the core rules. And run a campaign.

That could take a while...

Now I am not 100% sure on the origin of the two blackbaldes, but assuming they are demon swords, with demons in the swords, bound in someway, I see no reason why this is not being 'faithful' to the cannon, since elementals and demons can both be summoned they should both be able to be bound. Then again, I could be totally wrong.

The Black Blades are special cases, as the rules (and the saga, come to that) makes clear. They were forged specifically by a much older race to destroy a race of gods, and using magics very different to those available to even Melnibone (who would've probably forged countless such blades if they'd been able to). The significance of the Black Sword actually goes far beyond just killing gods, however. The Black Blade is the antithesis of the Runestaff and forms a part of the Cosmic Balance. Taken alone, however, the Black Swords are singularly evil and capable of things far beyond the capabilities of mere demons.

Okay, I understand, it would not fit with the yong kingdoms.
But, it could fit with the multiverse, as I am sure there would be a reality of the young kingdoms where those people would still be alive, and have made manymore of those. No reason why there could not be lesser swords on the black boat or accessible by it. Heck it could be the point of a campaign.
Then again these could be less powerful swrods with say undines in them. Just as there is stormbringer and High Lords of Chaos, just so there could be things like such mentioned swords and lesser deities of the balance.
I do not know if it is cannon or not, but if you look at the weapons of order from the Huinters ofg Granbretan scenario in the Granbretan supplement there could be all sorts of excuses for each faction having their own magic weapons flying about.

I think you're absolutely right. There are countless worlds in the Million Spheres (well, a million at least), and something like what you're suggesting is a perfect possibility. You're getting the hang of this whole multiverse schtick!

Excellent.
I know it is tongue and cheek, but if I really wanted to I could link Full Metal Alchemist with Moorocok stuff, FMA being a popular anime.
