Hey fellas,
Just completed the first of our battles in the new Campaign (using 1e rules still). Take a look...hope you enjoy.

Looked good fun, although the EA seemed to have suffered from a lack of ships.

Fancy losing Earth in the first turn of the campaign. Tsk

You could say that again. I was running EA's fleet for a member that couldn't make it to the battle. His orders were "take the worlock and as many destroyers as the scenario allows" . Well, when you play 5 points and lower 50% of the time that doesn't leave much wiggle room. I would have prefered to put at least his 2 hyperions and the worlock out there. I just had no way to get the boresights on target once he brought in his reserve ships via jump points. The first 3 turns weren't too bad, won initiative and was able to boresight 2 of the ships, but when I started losing initiative it went down to one boresight and then when he had all his ships to my flanks and rear it was over. Just not enough broadside or Aft fire power. Was fun trying to maneuver those lumbering giants and managed to stay away from the Light Cruiser for a time, but eventually it did get around on me.

I'll have a centauri v minbari battle tonight in the campaign...should be a bit more even as they have the same number of ships.

We ran our second battle last night...Centauri v Minbari. It was 1 Sharlin, 4 Tigara and a Carrier vs Adira, 2 Corvans (used different minis though), 2 Amars and a Maximus. The scenario was A Call To Arms...and after 10 turns the Centauri were victorious. I did another battle report w/ pix at my site...scroll down past the Vorlon v Earth report if you're interested.

sonds like it was a fun game. I love it when stuff like getting a jump point open, then taking damage so the jump point collapses. It really feels like the program.

nicely made battle report, background music and all! I would just say though, that with the fleet selections in the first game anyone whos played EA and Vorlons before could see that coming a mile off :) Still it was cool and cinematic :D

This is such a great campaign follower. I'm pretty interested in the outcome of battles, and the whole campaign itself. I'm rooting for Earth to make some points back! And I'm eager to see how the other races start fairing.
Good luck all, and keep up the great reporting!
