Some of the figures in the pictures are Airfix (they are the ones with the more animated and more realistic poses, IMHO), but most aren't. I'd say about 1/3 Airfix to 2/3 others.
The case for the defence rests
Although interesting that he used horrible Airfix Panthers (probably the worst Panther kit in 20mm) and didn't hunt down some of the far nicer ones that are or were out there (the old Matchbox one was my favourite - who markets the old matchbox range now, if anybody?)

It's a great article, even though there are some mistakes in it (grey Panthers) as it shows that you can get a painted force on the table quickly. I just thought it sad that the pictures doesn't match the text... and it shows how sad I am to be able to tell Revell, Esci and Airfix figures apart in a tiny picture :?

Revell has the molds, but the Panther is not in production right now (not sure if they did release it and it's OOP now, or if they haven't released it yet). Some other GREAT kits are out, like the T34, Jagdpanzer IV, M16 halftrack, Morris truck with 17 pounder and jeep. If you look at a Revell kit and it says 1:76 it's an old Matchbox, if it says 1:72 it's a new Revell.
