Call To Arms Removed From Mongoose Forums?

Just out of interest, who else thinks that they'll leave Mongoose Forums when the ACTA forum goes... I know it is the only thing keeping me here at the moment in time.
When B5 is gone from Mongoose so will I.
From now on I will only start buying new miniature games from companies that have better track records for keeping their products alive and pushing out expansions to expand on it.

In my timeframe, that was Mongoose since I decided to get into B5 Wars about 3 months before it, officially, (in deference to Talonspirit), ceased to exist. Had the rule sets and 2 ships, (1 Sharlin and 1 Hyperion). It was a godsend to me, but not to my wallet, when Mongoose took up the Babylon 5 licence.

Games come and go, gaming companies come and go, (my minature display room and my loft testify to that), fact of life. If Mongoose continue to produce something I want I will stay. (& I am always a sucker for a new space based minatures game - Hell I even still buy BFG minis  and I own Saganami Island   ).

All in, within the constraints of being a small company, I think Mongooose do a very good job. Some decisions I may not like but it is their business after all and speaking purely as a customer I have always been satisfied by their service and willingness to listen & respond to feedback.

Here here! As long as the new range is a good space based game and I enjoy it then I will buy it, simple as, and there'll be no reason to leave the forum.

I really want to know what the next game is going to be with mongooses track record of adapting from film and fiction. If its something I know and like then theres no problem.

Yes, when are we going to find out the subject of the new game?

Although I'll be interested in the new rules just to do a B5 conversion :)

well matts still working on the contract so even the playtesters dont know yet, but I have my ideas (which are right I am sure) :D

I think the only setting I would be interested in now, would be Stargate. BSG is only 2 sides, Firefly was not a show that showed mass fleet combat, SST, which they had was not renowned for fleet combat, startrek, pah!. Although I wouldn't mind a farscape one, but again, very limited fleet choices. S:AAB. 2 fleets? 3 if you had AI as a fleet I suppose. . . Dr Who lol, the tardis versus the dalek invasion fleet ;-)

Agree Hiff - if its a license then I too am hoping for Stargate as well. (Apart from anything else will save me from scratchbuilding the ships).

If its generic then, with the previiously announced improvments to the CTA engine, as long as the minatures are good looking & good mould quality then thats probably enough for me.

and to go full circle, whether licence or generic, those shiny new models, (if their scale is similar), can double up as the B5 CTA fleets that never happened, Hyach etc etc etc.

I though it might be nice to remind people about Katadder's wonderful forum that he started when everyone though that ACtA's post were going to disapear.

I Believe this may be a better way to stay in touch with each other as this forum is cluttered and has multiple games posting into it. Just a suggestion.
