Bumper Season

Mongoose
So with the release of Spider God's Bride and Gladiators of Legend imminent, and Monster Island and Book of Quests scheduled for early-ish 2013 from The Design Mechanism, it is going to be a bumper season for Legend and RuneQuest.

Also, a new region book from Age of Treason for RQ. Yowzer! :D

Don't forget that Chaosium also has a couple of cool monographs coming soon - I'm particularly looking forward to Advanced Sorcery. It's a good time to be a fan of the various d100 variants - things haven't been this active since the mid-1980s!

Yes, I saw that title, along with Magic World but not sure when they are being released.

This book has taken very long, as previously established, but when it does come out it is going to bolster the stable of products.

Thanks Matt! Always interesting to read the insider viewpoints.

Not to mention all the Teasers ... :D

Not to mention, Secrets of the Steppes and other recent releases to boot!

Although not specifically mentioned in recent State of the Mongoose , 'Talons of Winter' , another Elric/Legend book is already written. The draft has still got to go through the editorial process at time of writing.

I'm interested to know when we will see Corum ;)

The additional volumes for Monsters of Legend could be interesting. It'll be interesting to see what creatures will be included. I suspect that they may include some content that might also be useful with RQ 6 and Openquest - so they could be potential winners. I just hope that these volumes don't include many lame critters that harm the quality of the line.

It was great to see Matt say some complimentary words about Loz and Gareth Hanrahan too, calling them two of the best writers in the industry.

They are very much going to be packed with the 'good stuff' :)

Actually, I think I said they were the two best, not two of the best :) Certainly the two best I have ever worked with - both realise that it takes more than just turning in good text to be called a 'good writer.' Plenty of people can string decent words together. These two have, as well as bags of talent, the right discipline and mindset to be called a good writer; that comes down to time management, self-editing, and generally not farting about when you should be writing!

Which I believe is the biggest problem with a lot of freelancers and 'wanna be's' (myself included)!

I have to agree with Matt's comments re Loz and Gareth. Pete Nash is also very talented IMO.
