Brakiri vs Vree help

I am planning on playing an upcoming game against the vree with my Brakiris flleet. It will probably be a 5 point raid. I would appreciate any help as to what would be a good strategy. I was thinking about using a lot of fighters. I know that the vree have a large amount of antifighter, but my pikatos and rivas could shoot from outside their antifighter range. Would this be a viable option?

If not what would work better?

Vree have extermely good fighters - both dogfighters and attack ships - it may be worth investing in a Halik frigate - lots and lots of AF dice and good guns otherwise - twin linked AP - nice.

A few fighters for interceptor duty may be worth while - so a brikotas or 2 perhaps or the raid level carrier.

Depends if your friend is playing like four Xeels or not. If he is playing alot of em, well u are in trouble :(

Haltona or Haliks would be useful against Vree, as u can turn 2/45 and have a decent amount of weaponry on all sides. Maybe a few Brikorta carriers, or as Da Boss said, a Brokados carrier.

A scout might also come in handy as u want to get the most of your guns when u can against a SM vree fleet =)

Normally, I'd write some ig long summary, but the short version of the ideas from Omnipotent match mine.

Beam weaponry isn't so important with the underhulled Vree, but turning and interceptors are. I'd also suggest the Brikorta as it has fighters, interceptors, and some speed. Can't remember how many turns it has, though. Maybe just 1/45? Haliks make a ton of sense. So does the Brokados. If you think you can roll well and/or will face any of the extremely deadly Xonn Dreadnoughts, then the Haltona returns to being an outstanding buy. In very large battles, you may find the Takata too tempting to pass up with the whole kit: extreme range and bombardment capability, fighters, interceptors, 2/45s, and speed; use it to eliminate Skirmish hulls like Xixx and Ximm in quantity.

One unusual thought is the Ikorta. I seem to remember some ruling that since you moved half of your speed or less when you used SM in Vree, the Vree becomes susceptible to Launch Breaching Pods and Shuttles. This is an extremely nasty trick, but it is a trick. The Ikorta with its assault troops is absolutely the pony for this trick, but don't count on it.

I know that my opponent only has two xeels, so I won't see more than that in any game. So how would something like this work?

5 point raid

1x brokados
2x halik
4x brikortla

This is a 5 Raid list that I've been considering, and which coincidently only contains 2 Xeels:
2x Xill
2x Xeel (including 8 Tzymm flights)
2x Xixx (the torpedo one)
2x Vaarl

I don't know how good/bad a fleet it is as I don't have much experience with Vree yet, but it will probably give you some idea as to what you could expect.

with Vree you should really rely on your SM if you use half the speed...speed up with all power to engine or with closet blast doors(if u have don´t use those nasty missile variants). Vree is an excellent fleet to use when u have some terrain, it is simply nasty to just "put" your ship where u want it so u can shoot but the opponent can´t, or only can use a few dices.

U can imagine I have trouble with my Dilgar and Centauri against Vree...Brakiri should do ok, as they have good 12 range weapons, and solid skirmish carrier
