Also no CAF or scout redirects on beams. IMO... SAP beams should go up in AD, AP should stay the same, no AP should go down.

Not neccesarily. Ships such as the Avioki were considered undergunned, so the new beams work well at existing AD. While the G'Quan was considered undergunned so gets a boost to its beam AD.

A lot of ships have changed so much that they required rebalancing across the board, so beam AD may bear little or no resemblance to 1e stats. For example the Abbai get shields, making them tougher, so their weaponry was correspondingly reduced for balance.

I believe Celisasu is suggesting that the Brakiri's beam arrays are getting smaller. This makes sense, as all beams now will have the exact same "AP"ness as each other, whereas the Graviton Beam used to be AP instead of SAP, like most beam-armed ships. So, the AP-only beam ships (also includes Drakh Raider and Burst beam ships, like the Thentus and Sho'Kos) might see those beam system get modified, get smaller, or lose something else from their ship to retain balance.

EDIT: Greg quite rightly points out (as I was writing) that the Avoiki, previously badly undergunned, might not need such a rebalance down, as it was down already....
