Aslan and the Central Supply Cataloghue are going through their final proofing at the moment, as is Agent, so we will have all manner of Traveller goodness coming through very soon - heavyweight stuff too, as the first two books are big hardbacks.

Fordy (Northman), on the other hand, has been working hard on the new Judge Dredd RPG and, looking at what he and Lawrence have done, it is going to be a killer book - not least because Will has stated that, during layout, he will be putting the 'awesome' into it.

Hammers Slammers is due to arrive at our warehouse next week, a full month earlier than predicted (one good reason for printing purely in the US, even for full colour books, and this is certainly one to watch out for. Check out the previews on the Traveller page of the site, and you'll see what I mean. . .

Hardcover CSC? Bleh.

It's an amazing book. Hardcover is deserved, in my opinion.

So amazing that I'll want it at every game?

An important "during play" reference book that comes with a weight and volume premium due to being hardcover makes no sense to me. Two hardcovers take up the space of three softcovers in my game bag, and since I don't play at home, space in the bag is an important consideration.

And I consider laptop computers at an RPG table a hindrance to play, so don't tell me to just buy the PDF.

Save hardcovers for the "home game" books, please.

I'd like to have the opportunity to get more of the core books in hardcover. Hardcover digest size would be even better!

Hardcovers are in my experience more durable and they can be put on table on certain page and they stay there while with softcover screw that option as you have to keep hand over the page to keep it in the same page.

Hardcovers for me all the way! I don't need gazillion books during the gaming sessions anyway. I want durability+ability to keep book on same page without keeping anything on it to keep it.

I've looked at my collection of hardcover versus softcover Traveller books and the space the most important ones take up in a box beside my desk......

If the only complaint you might have is that a hardcover CSC is about 20% thicker then a softcover version, then I'm thinking you should buy it. :D
