Book on Mostali

The King

Cosmic Mongoose
If anyone is interested to support the idea I asked for a book on Dwarves in the "What should Mongoose publish next" forum.

I can't bear that Ducks could be prioritized. This is an absolute blasphemy against the machine.

Hmm. I do seem to recall that its in the queue to be written. I know there's A Mostal book for HeroQuest in the works.

Dwarfs is certainly up in the writing queue - I do not have the schedule to hand at the moment but the World Machine nutjobs will be getting theirs as soon as someone passes me the orange sauce.

Mid-year, I think for writing, though (Dwarfs), with editing not that long afterwards, definitely should be out before the new year.

Great. I mean there is already a book on almost every major elder race but the dwarves.

Will the Ducks books be delivered with British marmalade?

For me , I would like to see a book on the 'Bad guys' . Broo , Scorpion men .Ogres and Pelorians . But a book on dwarfs, especially if it includes Flintnail and his folk would be most welcome.

Chaos is far weaker in the second age than in the third, so these guys have not yet popped up on the schedule - but I can not imagine it will be long before they do so.

I am sure one can work some pretty urban scenarios "à la Warhammer", that is with some chaos cult (an ogre or Krarsht cult would fit the best there) working in the dark to corrupt the power in place.

Yes, I was quite pleased with the Karsht writeup for Cults of Glorantha. I think its a more useful foe for the era than the likes of Thed or Bagog. And of course, the still-merging Than-Atyar cults are nothing less than a terror weapon. ;)

I vaguely recall Sandy saying something shortly before "Dorastor" was released that one of the reasons that Ralzakark was so powerful, and that people were prepared to travel to Dorastor and deal with him was that he had been around since the Godtime. If this is the case then he ought to be doing *something* in the second age, even if it is hidden form most of the rest of the world... (There must be plenty of scope for a campaign there )

Moreover most of the creature found in Dorastor proably existe since the end of the 1st age.
Anyway it should be interesting to know if there are any order (pro)actively fighting chaos (beyond Trolls of course) because of the chaos war of 1st age.
But I suppose too human fans of Arkat shouldn't be enormous because of his treason when he became a troll.

It is great to discover the 2nd age. 8)

May be in 20 years, we'll have something on the 1st age. :P

I read that His slimyness was killed at the end of the First age and the Godlearners ,mucking around where they where not supposed to brought Ralzakark back to life.
And as for Krasht. there are Krash dug tunnels under Jrustela during the third age , and since krasht seems not to deal much with the elder races , they must then date back to the second age,
