Bill Paxton, Traveller Character

So today, I'm watching the movie Twister, and it occurred to me that Bill Paxton, the lead character, has to be a Traveller character.

After all, he did spend one term as a Marine, one term as a Scholar meteorologist and one term as an Agent of Hydra.

And he failed his Survival roll twice.

Didn't he also do one or two terms as Chief Executive Officer and CinC of a country in a balkanized TL8 planet with an extraordinary computer industry that can even crack extraterrestrial code?

My word, so he did.

And he rolled some fun events on his Events Table during that career.

Don't forget he was also the highly aggressive older brother of a computer genius, that likes to buter muffins. He also spent time as a large piece of fecal matter, long live Chet.

He never went on to celebrate stag parties in either a desert stranded waterless Gomorrah, or a humidified oriental Sodom.

Are you thinking Bill Pullman from Independence Day?

Well, let's see. Nic Cage... Hm... He's been at it for over 25 terms... Weren't there stats for vampires in the Campaign Guide?

He was also a submarine commander in U-571. He failed his survival roll in that one as well.
