BFE: Modern Combat setting book?

I have proposed an RPG based on BFE long time ago but failing that it would be interesting to have some sort of setting book for BFE Modern Combat.

Yes, I know that the it won't differ much from our current world but it seems to be different enough that a setting book would be useful to get fired up on various hotspots and which forces are deployed there.

Maybe this could even be coupled with having info how to use this setting in Traveller and Mercenary books.

I know that I've been thinking of doing a campaign book dealing with something akin to the 1st gulf war, but with the MEA as the aggressor. will wait till more army lists are done before I start.

That sounds interesting. What I was really after was information of what countries are part of MEA etc. but that kind of campaign book sounds cool, too.

Basically its all the arab and muslim countries. after all it is the "MIDDLE EASTERN ALLIANCE" so safe to say its the majority of the middle eastern countries.


For the book a mentioned earlier what country/country's would you think should be invaded?

What about those Muslim countries in South-East Asia/Pasific area? Are they included in MEA? I guess not but I am not sure and so I would greatly appreciate such a setting book as the setting clearly differs from our current world/timeline unlike WaW (I guess).

What could be the target for MEA's invasion? Hard to say, maybe they will want to expand to further East and thus get PLA involved. Or they might want to help their "brothers" in Africa and move to that direction probably getting PLA, EU and US against them. Could those three form an alliance, I doubt but then again would you even want that (in a game)?

MEA could include Turkey, Saudi Arabia or Islamic Asian countries like Indonesia.
Its upto you.
I agree that its best to remove it from reality.

Still, thanks for input on who might be included in MEA. Maybe it should stand for Muslim Earth Alliance? But does it make sense in the sense of army lists and what sort of kit and vehicles the faction has, I don't know.

Anyway, it was an idea that seemed good to me but maybe it is too hot a potato to give a proper handling (too much politics in pretty sensitive topics)...

sorry to hijack again, but my campaign book will have a madagascar/kakasthan setting.

In regards to the MEA, it is basically the muslim alliance but centred around the middle east as that where most muslim countrys are.
