BFE MC Cover question

Mongoose
I ran through a quick battle tonight and I was confused on Line of sight and cover.

What is the difference between obscured and cover?

If two models are on either side of a low wall, how do you determine if the target has cover or is just obscured?

If 5 of my men can trace LoS to the center of the fire zone, but they can only trace LoS to 1 enemy, then all of my damage dice are allocated to him right?

Obscured = stuff in the way, but the target isn't specifically touching the obstacle. The model is considered moving or not actively trying to hide behind it.

Cover = stuff in the way, and the target's base is literally touching the edge of the obstruction. The target is attempting to hunker down and keep out of danger.

Depends on whom you ask. :D
If you play with us, yes. The one guy gets saturated. If you play with some folks, you only have to see the center of the zone.

Valid targets:
-All shooters can see the center of the fire zone.
-All shooters participating must be able to draw LOS to any part of a potential target

Also the centre of a fire zone has to be an enemy model now, and you have to have LoS to the centre of a fire zone to be able to shoot, so only your guys that can see the unfortunate target can shoot. Once you have that LoS and you roll dice, you can allocate them to any figure in the fire zone that any of your figures can see, with one die per figure starting from the centre of the fire zone and working outwards.

Exploding stuff can complicate this, however.

Close. Except, you are supposed to start at the target nearest the shooters rather than the center of the fire zone. Once every model has at least one die allocated to it you can then allocate any extras against whichever target you so desire.

One other helpful hint is that range is always measured to the center of the Fire Zone, not to each target within the Fire Zone. This allows you to potentially squeeze another few inches out of your weapons.
