BF EVO-S : ZOMBIE RULES - UPDATING THIS WEEKEND

Hello all, after a visit to salute i got some humans and zombies to play test my zombie mod rules this weekend.

If theirs anything you like to see added, or rules you like to see or ones you hate from over systems let me know.

I have some ideas for chainsaws, and will need to work on the following

1.zombie movment : random until within 10"

2. Placing zombies on the table / with noise rules, ie gunshots have a chance to bring more zombies into play etc.

My rules are on the mongoose mods yahoo group, with my stargate and ghost recon, adding extra details to the Great Bf rules system.

I may even look into the great robot battles as well.....

so far my slow zombies are

Move : 4"
Actions 1
CC : 1d6-1
Wound : 4+
Save : 4+
Kill : 7+

Headshot skill brings the Kill down to 6+
Which shows you know where the weak spot is..
Cops and soldiers start the game with headshot skill, and others can gain this trait as well.

Most people start the game " Scared " meaning a roll of 5+ is need to enter CC with zombies....
 
so you are doing more of the civillin "classic zombie film" type game...ah i see.....

i was going for the:

ZOMFG THEYZ BE ZOMBIES HEAR!!!!! SHOOT EM IN DA HEAD!!! SHOOT EM IN DA HEAD!!!!!! GRAB THE SHOTGUN!!!!! WE DONT HAVE TO TIME LOAD IT!!!!, USE IT AS A CLUB!!!!!! SHOOT EM IN DA HEAD!!!!! OH NOES THEY BE RUNNING AT US!!!!!!! SHOOT EM IN DA HEAD!!!!! AAAAARRRGGGGHHH!!!!!
 
My rules are on a yahoo group site called " mongoose mods "
Somebody has done all the star wars units for Evo as well...

I have put together a list of people to play, like cops with the headshot trait, and or fireman who are not scared to enter hand to hand, and then you have people who are scared and other who are cowards, like lawyers etc, who need to roll 5+ to enter CC or shoot at zombies, you don`t really want them to cover your back..!!!

Made a list of weapons for hand to hand, some have the headshot trait, like swords or anything you swing down at the head with a blade.

Some are " Nasty " meaning the zombies save goes from 4+ to 5+, like chopping weapons like a axe, or "weak" meaning save jumps to 3+
Just to sort out about hand hammers and power dills, if any should have the headshot trait
Some Are 1d6-1 to cc, to show hard to use or weak, some are 1d6, others are 1d6+ 1

mixed with headshot or nasty you get a great mix of weapons

Ie/ cricket bat. 1d6 CC
No headshot trat since its wood, but since you always aim at the head, the zombie save is a 4+ and kill at 7+

At to this the american baseball bat
which would be 1d6 CC, but weak, meaning the zombies save is now 3+ instead of 4+

So the English cricket bat is better then the light hollow metal baseball bat..
Thats one for shaun of the dead..

Hope this gets your mind racing with ideas...
 
Trust me i`m full of it..!!! :-)

Most of my ideas hit me in one flood all in one go, at least i have some figs to test this weekend.

Evo is special because of the traits, and i have expanded that for my Ghost recon rules, which fleshes out the special forces, and added drones for the ghosts etc.

But i like to sort out the zombie rules, as it can be played solo, or if 2 people are playing both can be on the human side to work together to fight the undead, looking for other humans to team up and seach for better weapons to use.

On friday i will re think my hand to hand weapons and try and out a list together...
Turning my computer off, and off to watch a zombie film...
