Basic air rules ?

Are there any " BASIC " air rules to try for the game ? I've read in other forums that the air part was " broken " [ whatever that means :roll: ] and wanted to give a chopper a spin.

I don't know what those forums are, but the Basic air rules work fine. My only beef is the elevated terrain bonus, I believe they are powerful enough without them. But that is a opinion.

Get yourself a copy of the Main Rule Book, the one Item you really need from MP to play the game. Well worth the cash.
 
Bear in mind that as in real life, choppers have trouble if they come under any sort of AA fire.

In my neck of the woods, the tendency to use AA means the air phase has become more the crash phase.

Helicopters are well worth trying though, just be smart in using them and don't sit them in front of Tunguskas or anything.

I had to double check that one. Page 31.

Kind of a cryptic spot for it. Can we have that in duplicate in the Air Units section when/if the book ever hits a second edition? Thanks.
