Bad Editing

Mongoose
Page 11 of the core rulebook has a reference in it to... page 11. Who references the same page by page number? And that's not all. What is referenced appears immediately after the sentence with the reference. That doesn't make any sense.

This is just one example of an editing problem out of hundreds in the book. I'm very disappointed with the editing of the book.

Ugh.....not want to hear this.....why oh why can Mongoose never get this monkey off their back?!?!?! Are quality editors that hard to come by?

Yes they are, I have learned....but still!

I must call you up on this, especially as this is your very first post here, and from a gmail account at that. You have found one page reference error - that is hardly game breaking. And there are most certainly _not_ undreds of errors in this book as you claim.

I stand by my previous comments, and will say that RQII is a solid rulebook.

What! Less of the gmail discrimination, please!

Some of us have no idea what or where our "real" email are anymore ... :P

Yeah, I switched to gmail so that my email is ISP independent

Doesn't make me a bad person, OTHER things make me a bad person

Yeah, ever since the late '90s whenever I'm asked for my email I always use my Yahoo account. I don't care is my Yahoo account gets spammed. Even work doesn't have my ISP provided email; only family and friends get that. Oh, and eBay which won't accept anomymous email accounts unless you're in the military and stationed overseas.

Many years ago I sold my 1E AD&D Kara-Tur boxed set on eBay and the final sales price was $125 US. I was so stunned I emailed the guy to make sure he understood what he was buying (IMO, the boxed set was even worth the original retail price let alone $125). This was long before PayPal and I was surprised that his email was a Yahoo address which I didn't think was allowed. Turns out the guy was in the Army stationed at some listening post in Africa and the only entertainment they had was the Internet and AD&D. That's the only time I've come across an anonynmous based email account on eBay.

Yeah, I have used a Yahoo account as my primary e-mail for around 15 years now, and also use a Gmail account. I have had many ISP's over that time period, but e-mail stays the same. Interestingly I have had no problem using them for Ebay. I think as long as you are willing to back them up with a verified credit card Ebay is happy.

Also, any Android based phone is going to be tied to a Gmail account.
